The Community Support Supervisor will assist the manager and their team of Support Workers in various capacities. This role involves guiding and mentoring colleagues to enhance their competencies. The Supervisor will collaborate with the Locality Manager to uphold Discovery's core values and standards, ensuring adherence to Internal Standards, CQC Regulations, and Discovery's policies and procedures.
Our service is flourishing, with a strong emphasis on empowering individuals to realize their aspirations. The new Supervisor will play a crucial role in aiding the team and the individuals we support in achieving their goals.
About the Position:
This is a multifaceted and engaging role, with responsibilities that include:
- Assisting the Locality Manager in the efficient operation of the service, which encompasses managing schedules, reviewing and updating support plans, and aiding in the recruitment and development of a team of Support Workers.
- Collaborating with family members, healthcare professionals, and external organizations to ensure that the needs and interests of the individuals we support are prioritized and respected.
- Acting as a role model for a team of Support Workers, exemplifying best practices in support.

What Qualifications Are Required?
To qualify for the Community Support Supervisor role, you will need:
- Experience working with individuals with diverse needs, such as autism and complex learning disabilities.
- The capability to prioritize tasks, manage your time effectively, delegate responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Current knowledge of the personalisation agenda and Active Support methodologies.
- The interpersonal skills necessary to foster positive working relationships across Discovery, including with the individuals we support, their families, internal colleagues, and external partners.
- A willingness to pursue or already possess a Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Leadership and Management for Care Services.
