Personal Support Worker

We are seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Home Carer within our organization. This position is crucial in providing essential support to vulnerable individuals, enabling them to maintain their independence in the comfort of their own homes.
Location: North West Glasgow
Salary: Competitive hourly rate starting at £14.82, subject to shift patterns.
Shift Patterns: We offer a variety of shift patterns to accommodate different schedules, including:
1. 7 days on / 7 days off
2. 5 days on / 2 days off
3. 4 days on / 3 days off
Note: Availability to work on Public Holidays is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will include:
- Providing personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supporting meal preparation, ensuring dietary preferences are met, including the use of various cooking appliances.
- Assisting with medication management and utilizing specialized equipment to enhance the quality of life for service users.
If you possess a compassionate nature and a desire to positively impact the lives of others, this role may be the perfect fit for you. No prior experience or qualifications are necessary, as we offer comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed for success.
Training and Development:
All new hires will undergo a thorough 10-day induction program, consisting of eight days of classroom training followed by two days of hands-on experience with our care team. This training is essential for your development and will be conducted full-time, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you should be willing to pursue a SVQ Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or an equivalent credential. Support for this qualification will be provided, and you will need to achieve SSSC Registration within six months of employment.
Additional Requirements:
Membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is mandatory upon appointment. Candidates will be responsible for the costs associated with their PVG Membership or Scheme Checks.
