HGV Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 driver to join our team at Jack Richards & Son, a well-established family-run national haulier. As a Class 1 (C+E) Tramper, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles comply with legal requirements, reporting issues to your DC team, and ensuring the security and accuracy of delivery of the loads in your charge.

The ideal candidate will have a valid LGV/HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, a UK digital tachograph card, and a full DQC (CPC card). You will also have experience with curtainside trailers, ratchet strapping, general haulage, timber, and paper reels & cardboard packaging.

As a member of our team, you will receive:

  • Estimated Annual Gross Earnings: c. £50,300 + Bonuses (see below)
  • 5/6 Tramper (Mon Start Day): c. £50,300 + Bonuses
  • 5/6 Tramper (Tue Start Day): c. £51,100 + Bonuses
  • Includes Enhanced Rates after 10 hours
  • Includes up to £10 per Day Meal Allowance
  • Plus £6 per shift worked Retention Bonus
  • Plus Fuel Bonus
  • Get paid 13 times a year (4 weekly)
