Job Summary: We are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our sustainability team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing environmental and resource management at various project sites, providing support to project teams in achieving environmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee environmental and resource management at various project sites.
- Provide support to project teams in achieving environmental objectives.
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate adherence to the internal environmental management system.
- Prepare detailed reports on environmental performance and offer recommendations for enhancement.
- Precisely collect, analyze, and report data (such as waste quantities and utility consumption) to assess progress toward sustainability objectives.
- Collaborate with construction project teams to enhance site performance by advising and supporting site champions, developing guidance documents, and meeting with project teams to discuss results.
- Stay informed about new environmental laws and best practice guidelines, and assess their potential impact on the company or project.
- Take a proactive approach to improving performance and fostering innovation by engaging with the management team and all employees.
- Increase awareness of environmental management by providing both formal and informal training to project teams.
Requirements:
- Background in the construction industry or environmental management, with a relevant degree.
- Familiarity and experience with key areas such as energy efficiency, waste and resource management, and environmental oversight.
- Proficiency in data analysis and management.
- Driver's license required due to the nature of the work (travelling to company sites).
