We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Academic Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to students in a secondary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons
- Support students with their learning, providing individualized attention and guidance
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Participate in small group and one-to-one interventions to support students' academic progress
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans
- Contribute to the overall well-being and safety of students
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting
- Basic English and math knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to apply for a Child Workforce DBS
- UK resident and holder of a valid UK driving license
