The Graduate Welding Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for assisting senior Welding Engineers in the welding discipline. This role involves working on tender, project execution, and R&D projects, ensuring the specification and requirements of welding procedures, equipment, and consumables are met.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and implementation of welding procedures and specifications.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure cost-effective, efficient, and safe project execution.
- Monitor and analyze data from R&D materials and welding projects to provide budget estimates and firm offers for tenders and projects.
- Review technical specifications for tender and contract purposes, determining cost, quality, and cycle time impact.
- Calculate welding cycle times for pipeline installation rate estimates for tender and planning purposes.
- Perform QC and inspection functions during WPQT, WQ, and welding development, and monitor production welding on site as required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in welding or materials engineering, or equivalent level through experience.
- Experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Ability to undertake offshore survival training.
