About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Governance Specialist to join our team at MUFG Pension & Market Services. As a key member of our company secretarial team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality company secretarial services to clients, including meeting support, statutory and regulatory compliance, and corporate governance advice.
  2. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and intermediaries, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  4. Contribute to the development of our team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their career goals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A demonstrable understanding of and commitment to the company secretarial profession and corporate governance, with an understanding of the basic principles of UK company law, regulation, and best practice.
  2. The drive and desire to work within a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
  3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and colleagues at all levels.
  4. A creative approach to problem-solving, with an innate ability to remain calm under pressure and in changing circumstances.
  5. A proactive and flexible approach to your workload, with the ability to plan, organise, and handle conflicting deadlines.
  6. A high level of accuracy and great attention to detail.
  7. A recognised degree or Masters, preferably in Law, Governance, Business, or Finance at a 2:1 or above.
  8. Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Commercial and business awareness, with experience within or an understanding of a professional services environment, would be an advantage.
