Corporate Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Governance Specialist to join our team at MUFG Pension & Market Services. As a key member of our company secretarial team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality company secretarial services to clients, including meeting support, statutory and regulatory compliance, and corporate governance advice.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and intermediaries, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Contribute to the development of our team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their career goals.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A demonstrable understanding of and commitment to the company secretarial profession and corporate governance, with an understanding of the basic principles of UK company law, regulation, and best practice.
- The drive and desire to work within a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and colleagues at all levels.
- A creative approach to problem-solving, with an innate ability to remain calm under pressure and in changing circumstances.
- A proactive and flexible approach to your workload, with the ability to plan, organise, and handle conflicting deadlines.
- A high level of accuracy and great attention to detail.
- A recognised degree or Masters, preferably in Law, Governance, Business, or Finance at a 2:1 or above.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Commercial and business awareness, with experience within or an understanding of a professional services environment, would be an advantage.
