About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Finance professional to join our SSE Renewables Finance Leadership Team. As the key commercial finance business partner to the SSE Renewables business, you will play a critical role in driving commercial, investment, and strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the voice of SSE Renewables Finance across the business unit leadership teams, providing trusted financial guidance and support.
  • Develop and lead a team of business partners to support all Renewables technologies, ensuring strong commercial financial support.
  • Ensure the MDs fully understand their division's financial and operational performance, identifying risks and opportunities to achieving budgets and forecasts.
  • Play a key part in commercial, investment, and strategic decision-making within the SSE Renewables leadership teams, providing astute commercial challenge and support.
  • Act as the main finance point of contact for relevant M&A activity within the business unit.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant with significant post-qualified experience in a Business Partner/commercial decision-making role.
  • Strong understanding of key market and external factors influencing performance and commercial decision-making.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience of leading budgeting and forecasting cycles.
