Job Summary:

The Commercial Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the financial strategic decision making and analysis activities for the commercial side of our business at Barclay Meade. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling: Develop and own robust financial models to support the strategic decision making of the business, including bid pricing models, investment evaluations, and profitability analysis.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain financial models, business rates, and reports to support forecasting, budgeting, working capital, and long-term planning.
  • Financial Insights: Support decision-making processes by providing financial insights and recommendations on potential initiatives, including inventory management and inventory reduction, warranty and debit note management.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide guidance and support through preparation and presentation of regular reports and analysis on financial metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Internal and External Audits: Assist the finance and supply chain teams during both internal and external audits.

Requirements:

  • Financial Experience: Proven experience as a financial analyst, preferably in a commercial or business-focused role.
  • Financial Skills: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, sensitivity analysis, and reporting, including the creation of charts and tables.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and formal presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial data in a simple way to key stakeholders.
  • Financial Qualification: You will have a financial qualification/background with a practical financial career experience, with a focus on financial modeling.
