About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Counselling Tutor to join our team at Supporting Education Group. As a Counselling Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering AEB remote courses in mental health awareness, counselling, and other related subjects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accredited delivery and assessment activities for various sectors, including mental health awareness, counselling, and understanding SEND.
  • Plan lessons effectively and ensure activities are differentiated towards individual learner needs.
  • Train, assess, motivate, mentor, and support learners to develop personal and social skills.
  • Monitor learner progression and ensure all forms of teaching, learning, and assessment are completed.
  • Participate in standardisation and team meetings, and undertake continuing professional development as required.
Requirements
  • Level 2 functional skills in Math's, English, and ICT.
  • Level 3 award in assessing, vocationally related achievement, or equivalent.
  • PTLLS, AET, or DET qualification.
  • Proven experience of online and classroom-based learning, teaching, and assessment.
  • Track record of delivering funded employability programs, including accredited and non-accredited qualifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and organise own caseload and diary unsupervised.
