Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 6 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience is essential.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Refrigerated Transport: Safely transporting temperature-sensitive goods in chilled trailers.
  • Long-Distance Haulage: Engaging in trunking operations between distribution centers.
  • Store Deliveries: Delivering a variety of goods to retail locations.
  • General Freight: Moving diverse types of cargo from one location to another.
  • Manual Handling: Involves lifting and moving goods during loading and unloading.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip checks, reporting any maintenance needs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate delivery logs and compliance documentation.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE).

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid HGV 1/C+E License.
  • No more than 6 penalty points and no DD/DR code convictions.
  • Current DCPC and Tacho cards.
  • Understanding of Driver's hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
  • Ability to perform necessary vehicle safety checks and report issues accurately.
  • Compliance with on-site health and safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills.
