Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Factory Operative to join our client's Footwear Manufacturing team in Northampton. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for operating sewing machinery and other closing equipment, ensuring high-quality footwear products are produced with precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating sewing machinery and other closing equipment to assemble footwear products
- Ensuring all seams meet quality standards
- Examine high-quality calf leather and cut exact sections of shoe patterns to the best quality
- Selecting the best areas to cut of the hide to minimize waste
- Using lasting machines and hand tools to achieve the desired shape and ensuring proper fit and alignment of the upper and sole
