Job Title: Assistant Production Manager

At Mansell Recruitment Group, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the production process and ensuring that all activities are coordinated to meet the quality standards and demands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Oversee the production process to ensure that products are produced safely, cost-effectively, and on time.
  • Ensure that enough materials and resources are available for production.
  • Assist in streamlining the production process to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Prepare reports on performance and progress for senior management.
  • Oversee the safe use of equipment and organize repairs as needed.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Manage a team of 8 staff on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar production role within a manufacturing or engineering organization.
  • Previous experience within a battery manufacturer is beneficial.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet time constraints.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A results-driven approach.
  • Strong IT skills.
Working Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with 3 breaks totaling 1 hour.

Salary:

Up to £32,000, with a monthly bonus paid in arrears.
