About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Theatre Nurse/ODP to join our expanding team as a scrub practitioner. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality surgical care across various specialities, including:
- Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery
- Minor Orthopaedic Surgery (including hand and foot surgery)
- General Surgery
- Ophthalmic Surgery
As a Scrub Practitioner, you will be responsible for:
- Providing direct patient care during surgical procedures.
- Preparing and maintaining the operating theatre environment.
- Assisting surgeons with instrumentation and other tasks.
- Ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols.
- Collaborating effectively with the surgical team.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Current medical and/or surgical experience within a hospital setting.
- Registration with the HCPC or NMC (UK) and ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CDP).
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical standards in a surgical environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer care skills.
- Strong computer literacy and time management abilities.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
