About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Theatre Nurse/ODP to join our expanding team as a scrub practitioner. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality surgical care across various specialities, including:

  • Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery
  • Minor Orthopaedic Surgery (including hand and foot surgery)
  • General Surgery
  • Ophthalmic Surgery
Your Responsibilities

As a Scrub Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct patient care during surgical procedures.
  • Preparing and maintaining the operating theatre environment.
  • Assisting surgeons with instrumentation and other tasks.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborating effectively with the surgical team.
Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Current medical and/or surgical experience within a hospital setting.
  • Registration with the HCPC or NMC (UK) and ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CDP).
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical standards in a surgical environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer care skills.
  • Strong computer literacy and time management abilities.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
