Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Engineering Lecturer to join our team at Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group. As a Curriculum Leader for Technical Education, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver lively and interactive teaching, learning, and assessment to an outstanding standard on a range of programmes, including T Levels and higher technical qualifications.
  • Secure outstanding success for all learners and ensure targets for recruitment, retention, achievement, and success are met.
  • Support the design and development of programmes in Engineering, including the new technical qualifications (T Levels), and higher technical qualifications at Levels 4-5.
  • Teach on a range of full-time, part-time, and apprenticeship programmes at Level 3, including the T Level in Design, Development for Engineering Construction.
  • Engage in core duties, including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, and developing and preparing flexible learning materials.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in Engineering and equivalent higher technical expertise in this field (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or Design Engineering).
  • Has or is willing to study for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Has industry experience, with current knowledge and the ability to deliver to industry standard.
  • Is well-organized and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
