We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Matron to join our team at Pelham Medical Group. As a Matron, you will play a key role in providing leadership, mentoring, and development to our nursing team while working collaboratively with GP colleagues and the wider leadership team to integrate service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing assistance to doctors and other staff members, ensuring a high standard of care and patient safety.
- Work independently and as part of a team to provide safe and evidence-based patient care for patients within the surgery and the community.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of practice protocols and guidelines in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct.
- Support and oversee various services, including nurse-led cytology screening, HRT advice/checks, nurse-led Family planning, and developing sexual health services.
- Administer travel vaccinations, childhood immunisations, and other treatments as required.
- Provide health education, including diet and lifestyle advice, and give telephone advice as needed.
- Administer Cryosurgery within competence and provide advanced/specialist wound care and management.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the nursing team and GP colleagues.
- Knowledge of NMC Code of Conduct and practice protocols.
- Experience in nurse-led services and immunisation programs.
