Astute's Renewables division partners with a swiftly growing Independent Connection Provider (ICP), dedicated to delivering holistic solutions for sustainable and renewable infrastructure, with a focus on substations, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and various renewable assets.

We are seeking an Electrical Project Specialist to become a vital member of our team, contributing to the advancement and success of our projects.

The Electrical Project Specialist will play a key role in overseeing high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) installations, ensuring the secure, professional, and high-standard installation of electrical networks.

This position offers a competitive salary of up to £55,000, with an on-target earnings (OTE) potential of £75,000, in addition to door-to-door travel compensation.

  • Oversee and direct site personnel engaged in LV and HV networks.
  • Support in the testing and commissioning of distribution systems (LV/HV).
  • Organize and coordinate projects and fault response callouts.
  • Conduct audits, generate reports on completed tasks, manage project budgets, and enhance team efficiency.
  • Assist in training colleagues for advancement to LV Authorised Person (AP) or HV AP.
  • Create site-specific risk assessments and Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) documentation.
  • Act as a Standby Engineer for a broad Operations & Maintenance (O&M) portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Possess (or have previously possessed) authorizations up to 33kV, including permit to work (consideration given to up to 11kV).
  • Required: CSCS certification.
  • Valid UK Driving License.

Desired Personal Skills:

  • Safety-oriented with the capability to evaluate hazards and ensure personnel safety.
  • Proficient in producing RAMS, including document issuance and termination.
  • Willingness to work across Southern England and on weekends at enhanced rates.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum with an OTE around £75,000.
