Air Cargo Export Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Air Cargo Export Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for overseeing and coordinating the movement of goods through air and ocean freight, ensuring compliance with all regulations and facilitating efficient customs processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the complete import and export cycle, including:
- Booking cargo space
- Arranging pickups
- Coordinating delivery timelines
2. Handle customer inquiries and quotations through various channels, ensuring timely preparation and submission of proposals.
3. Serve as the main contact for clients, providing regular updates on shipment progress and addressing any issues or concerns in a professional manner.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance service delivery.
5. Collaborate with airlines, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to negotiate pricing, monitor shipments, and resolve transportation challenges.
6. Identify and address potential risks related to air cargo shipments, implementing strategies to mitigate delays, damages, or customs complications.
7. Optimize shipping costs by assessing routes, carrier options, and service levels to deliver cost-effective solutions while maintaining high service standards.
8. Seek opportunities for operational improvements and cost efficiencies within the air cargo export processes, applying best practices where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in air cargo operations
- Minimum of 2 years in a logistics-related role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
