Job Summary:

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team in a days-based Vehicle Servicing / Maintenance role within a well-established engineering business. As a Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for undertaking varied maintenance responsibilities on a range of vehicles, including maintenance, servicing, running diagnostics, changing tyres, and handling general repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles, including oil changes, tyre checks, and brake pad replacements
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify and repair faults on vehicles
  • Carry out servicing and repairs on a range of vehicles, including cars, buses, and HGVs
  • Work with the team to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of vehicle systems and components

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
