Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Shift Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the safe operation, upkeep, and repair of the site's electrical, mechanical, and building services systems as assigned by the Engineering Supervisors/Managers. This role supports the maintenance of the site under the terms of the relevant contract.
Shift Requirements: This role is part of the Shift Team and requires the individual to work 12-hour day/night shifts within a 28-day cycle (14 shifts followed by 14 rest days). A detailed shift pattern can be provided upon request.
Regular overtime may be necessary to support the 24/7 shift team, covering for annual leave, illness, and training.
Core Duties- Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), statutory compliance tasks, and reactive investigations/repairs on various systems, including Low Voltage electrical systems, building services, fire and security systems, BMS, and HVAC.
- Service, test, diagnose, and repair process control systems and automatic control devices related to building services equipment.
- Collaborate with other service teams as needed to ensure efficient work delivery, quality workmanship, and productivity in line with performance standards.
- Utilize provided testing and monitoring equipment to maintain operational performance of engineering systems and assist in fault diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and system checks to maintain compliance with current legislation in relevant areas.
NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent (including recognized apprenticeship) with a focus on either electrical or building services.
Desired Skills- Proficient understanding of various building services and trades.
- Experience with complex electrical installations, including UPS systems and Generators.
