Role Objective: The Service Department is currently responsible for the upkeep of numerous units and is poised for further expansion. As an Elevator Installation Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting new installation initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: NVQ Level 3 in Elevator Engineering.
- Experience: At least 6 years in the elevator industry in a senior capacity.
- Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications in elevator engineering.
- IT Proficiency: Competent in MS Office applications.
- Driving License: Must possess a clean driving license.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Key Duties:
- Project Management: Collaborate with site personnel and the broader workforce to ensure effective project management, including coordination with manufacturer technicians and management for seamless operations.
- Installation Duties: Execute the installation of new elevators, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
- Safety Compliance: Operate in a safe manner, following all Health and Safety regulations, managing manual handling, heavy lifting, and working at heights in compliance with safety protocols.
- Client Engagement: Interact directly with clients and the public on-site, fostering positive relationships and contributing to a customer-centric environment, while providing support and guidance to the Repair Sales administration.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve faults promptly, utilizing lift manuals and diagrams as necessary, and conduct technical assessments and site quality audits to pinpoint and address concerns.
- Technical Communication: Maintain high standards of technical reporting and communication, staying informed about the latest standards and regulations related to elevators, and offering technical support and training to fellow engineers.
- Policy Adherence: Enforce company policies, quality, safety, and environmental systems, organizing and delivering technical and safety training, including toolbox talks, and managing out-of-hours callouts effectively.
