Town Planning Project Manager: Senior-Principal Planner
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Town Planning Project Manager to join our team at Beach Baker. As a Senior-Principal Planner, you will play a key role in managing projects and mentoring junior members of the Planning team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from initial site appraisals through to the preparation and submission of planning applications and associated condition compliance/appeal work.
- Mentor junior members of the team and provide guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Promote sites for residential and commercial developments through the local plan process.
- Prepare and coordinate planning applications, including drafting supporting statements.
- Prepare fee proposals and manage project budgets.
- Liaise with internal and external technical specialties, clients, and local planning authorities.
- Assess the potential of sites for a range of developments, identifying opportunities and constraints.
Requirements
- RTPI Accredited Degree
- MRTPI Qualified
- Town Planning private sector experience
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Full driving license and use of own vehicle
Desirable Skills
- Experience in the Environmental/renewable energy sector
- Experience across both public and private sectors
- Project management experience
