A leading group of transport and logistics businesses operating in the UK and Ireland.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team in Northern Ireland.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, progressive, and profitable market-leading large group of companies with a diverse range of interests in the transport and logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Direct and manage the finance and accounting function within the Companies in accordance with financial management requirements of the Group and in accordance with normally accepted practice.
- Reporting: Report into the Financial Director and provide regular reports to monitor progress against the Key Performance Indicators within the business plans.
- Financial Systems: Develop and maintain all appropriate financial systems and procedures to ensure that all legal, customer and supplier, and internal (companies and Group) financial information needs are efficiently and effectively met.
- Financial Planning: Prepare financial budgets in accordance with the company guidelines to allow the business objectives of the Companies to be delivered.
- Cashflow Management: Manage and monitor the cashflow in the business including management of the credit control function and fulfilling group-reporting requirements.
- Accounting Support: Manage the accounting support staff, including daily supervision of working practices and all personnel administration and reporting in conjunction with the HR team.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Leadership: Demonstrate a strong sense of leadership within the finance department.
- Problem-Solving: Confident to use initiative, solve problems, and report accordingly to the management team.
- Computer Literacy: Computer literate especially in accounting packages and Excel.
- Flexibility: Flexible regarding the needs of the business as the business grows throughout the designated areas of operation.
Salary up to £52,000 (dependent on experience) plus Company benefits and Hybrid working, working from home on one/two days a week.
