Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Neighbourhood Guardian to join our team at West Berkshire Council. As a Neighbourhood Guardian, you will play a vital role in supporting the Safer Streets Project Coordinator in creating safer and more vibrant public spaces within West Berkshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols of public spaces to identify any issues or concerns and take appropriate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and visitors.
  • Report and address any issues related to anti-social behaviour, environmental cleanliness, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with local partners, such as the police and community groups, to implement effective solutions.
  • Engage with the community to gather feedback and promote community safety initiatives.
  • Assist in the coordination of community events and campaigns to enhance public spaces.
