Job Title: Senior RF Communications Engineer

Belcan is seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Communications Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge RF communication systems for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and develop calibration and metrology aspects, including statistical error analysis, confidence levels, and error budgets.
  • Design and develop modular, reusable software in Python (or similar languages) for various setups.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze link-performance issues.
  • Collaborate with DSP, hardware, and software teams to enhance system performance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
  • 2+ years of programming experience using Python, LabVIEW, SQL, or Embedded C.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems, VLANs, and network security.
  • Hands-on RF measurement experience with analyzers, vector signal generators, power sensors, and network analyzers.
  • Experience with link-performance measurement (link/protocol testers, channel emulators).
  • Collaborative software design experience (GIT, code reviews).
  • Statistical analysis and metrology expertise.
