Group Head of Technical

MacGregor Black is seeking an experienced technical professional to lead our multi-site technical department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety and quality management, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical team across the business estate, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to align with customer expectations and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to drive the development and delivery of a food safety and quality culture across the business.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.

Requirements

  • MSc in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Proven senior leadership experience in a technical management role within the chilled food industry for 5+ years.
  • Knowledge of HACCP (Level 4 minimum), BRC, and other food safety management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
