Job Title: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

A well-established construction consultancy, Ashbrittle, is seeking a talented Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their dedicated team in the East of England.

Your Role:
  • Support all aspects of quantity surveying/estimating from pre-contract through to post-contract services, including the preparation of final accounts and claims.
  • Carry out estimating services, including BQ production, and quantity surveying services.
  • Provide commercial and financial advice, as well as procurement and contract advice.
  • Maximise value recovery, cost control, and cash management on projects.
  • Commercially manage and control SC packages on projects.
  • Assist in the protection of the Company's contractual position on projects.
  • Prepare final accounts and claim documents.
  • Contribute to the development of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimating and quantity surveying services
  • Commercial and financial advice
  • Procurement and contract advice
  • Value recovery, cost control, and cash management
  • SC package management
  • Contractual position protection
  • Final accounts and claim document preparation
Requirements:
  • At least four years of industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • A Bachelor's Degree or Master's in a relevant qualification
  • Preferably qualified or eager to become CICES or RICS accredited
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of planning software
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills
  • Enthusiasm, reliability, and commitment to the job and the business
