We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Security Officer to join our dedicated shift/rota-based team at Kingston College. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors, as well as protecting the property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manning the College's main entrance, you will be alert to any potential security-related problems, outstanding maintenance items, or hazardous situations that require attention.
  • Carrying out regular security patrols, inputting and assisting with access control, and monitoring CCTV, completing investigation assignments as required.
  • Working under pressure, at times without supervision, you will have exceptional communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team.

Working Hours:

The primary shift is 10:00-18:00 Monday to Thursday and 10:00-16:30 Friday, working across the two Kingston Sites. In addition, the role will require flexibility to undertake am/pm shifts as part of the rota when required and during holiday periods.

Requirements:

  • An SIA registered Door Supervisor with patience, tact, and honesty in dealing with people from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Ability to work under pressure, at times without supervision.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Due Diligence:

As part of our due diligence checks on prospective employees, successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, an online search, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
