About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Professional to join our team at Aspire People. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our school sites, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the maintenance caretaker with day-to-day general maintenance and site work, ensuring that all buildings are safe, well-maintained, and meet Health and Safety requirements.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure that all maintenance work is carried out to a high standard.
  • Assist with the janitorial and cleaning provision, ensuring that all areas of the school are clean and tidy.
  • Ensure the security of the building, including the management of keys and access control.
  • Have experience in facilities maintenance, including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
  • Be reliable and willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of maintenance is essential, with a strong background in facilities maintenance.
  • IT literacy is a must, as you will be using various systems to input data.
  • Reliable and flexible, with a willingness to work outside of normal hours as required.
  • DBS clearance is required, with the ability to obtain an enhanced DBS if necessary.
