About the Role

Tesco, a leading retail company, is seeking a skilled Technical Program Manager to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering complex technology programs that support colleagues and enhance customer experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, with experience in delivering cross-functional technology programs. You will be responsible for coordinating and energizing virtual technology teams, creating and tracking plans to deliver program goals, and managing dependencies and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver programs with business and/or technical risks
  • Optimize or use a standard program delivery methodology for delivering program goals
  • Bring together, coordinate, and energize virtual technology teams to deliver program goals
  • Create and track a plan to deliver the program goals, including the technical implementation plan
  • Understand trade-offs and resulting impacts; make impacts visible to Product, Infrastructure or Engineering for the right decision to be made
  • Managing dependencies, delivery timelines and implementations plans, using my knowledge of technical architecture
Requirements
  • Experience of building credible relationships and influencing senior & leadership teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – you must be able to articulate complex concepts to a diverse audience
  • The ability to influence without authority
  • Flexibility, ability to plan and organise, responsiveness, self-starter
  • Demonstrate resilience during change and continue delivery
