We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our team at Access Talent Group. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering multi-disciplinary projects from concept to construction, working collaboratively with our team to achieve excellent results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver projects to agreed targets, including programme, budget, and quality.
  • Identify and agree project objectives with the Project Director and develop a strategy for achieving these.
  • Manage potential contractual and commercial risks, escalating them to the Project Director at the earliest opportunity.
  • Utilize commercial manager support to understand contractual obligations and negotiate amendments.
  • Set objectives and define tasks for the project team, delegating authority and agreeing risk sharing as necessary.
  • Actively manage the project, technically and financially, in accordance with corporate and business policies.
  • Monitor and report performance against programme, technical quality, financial, and KPI targets.
  • Lead the project team, building, motivating, and developing the team, including providing regular feedback and ensuring staff have necessary H&S training.
  • Assemble and own the project delivery programme and delivery plans, providing regular project reports.
  • Closing out the project on completion, archiving project documentation, and ensuring lessons learned are captured and disseminated internally.
Requirements
  • Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent with experience managing design commissions on large building/infrastructure projects.
  • Understands and has experience deploying various forms of construction contract, particularly NEC3 and JCT.
  • Experienced in preparing Scope Definition papers, Project Execution Plans, Risk Registers, Change Control Logs, and Client & Stakeholder Management plans.
  • Experience managing design projects to time, cost, and quality objectives and familiar with programming and earned value techniques.
  • Familiar with BIM and has an understanding of 3D modelling tools for design and coordination purposes.
  • Available to travel across the UK and work away from home when required, holding a valid UK driving license.
