Executive Governance Specialist

Responsibilities:
* Monitor financial performance and provide guidance on sustainable growth
* Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, maintaining the highest standards of governance and performance
* Manage risks, conflict of interests, and internal controls
* Assess and address conflicts of interest, ensuring the company\u2019s activities do not compromise the charitable status and reputation of St John\u2019s Foundation
Requirements:
* Commercial background, ideally in the hospitality or commercial property sectors
* Proven track record of growing businesses
* Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties and responsibilities of directorship
* Ability to participate effectively in meetings and confidence to challenge and hold to account the organisation\u2019s executive and other board colleagues
* Demonstrable commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with the ability to recognise and challenge discrimination and bias in its many forms
Commitment:
* The trading company board meets quarterly for up to two hours, with occasional additional ad hoc meetings
* Meetings are held primarily in person in Bath, though online attendance can be arranged if necessary
