About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Developer to join our team at House of Fashion Associates Ltd. as a key member of our menswear product development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head of Menswear to develop new fabric, trim, and logo concepts.
  • Expertly create technical packs and bill of materials (BOMs) with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Attend fit sessions and prototype reviews to ensure timely execution of styles from concept to launch.
  • Manage the execution of styles from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and meeting critical path deadlines.
  • Contribute to design direction meetings, bringing newness and creative ideas to the team.
  • Ensure all timelines are met, including tech packs and sample deadlines.
  • Develop and deliver world-class, fit-for-purpose products that meet the brand's standards.
  • Plan and organize daily design and development tasks to deliver goals and objectives set by the Head of Menswear.
  • Coordinate daily communication with suppliers and obtain initial prices on receipt of first prototype samples.
  • Attend key style capitals for fabric trade fairs and visit key stores and brands to stay aware of brand adjacencies and key trends.
  • Interact frequently with factories and fabric mills, ideally through site visits or video meetings, to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Prioritize sustainable fabrics, trims, and packaging where possible.
  • Assess and appraise factories on a regular basis and feed back to the Production Manager and Head of Menswear.
  • Provide creative and technical skills to ensure all garments are fit for purpose.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director, Chief Product Officer, and Head of Menswear to deliver quality products against target margins while maintaining design aesthetics.
  • Identify styles that require wear testing and coordinate accordingly.
  • Maintain and update the sample tracker report, ensuring accuracy is critical.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of design and product development experience.
  • A passion for menswear design and the premium branded market.
  • A relevant degree in menswear design.
  • Travel experience to factories and key style capitals.
  • Excellent garment construction knowledge.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
