Job Title – Building Surveyor (MRICS Qualified)

Contract – Permanent

Location – Remote

As a key member of our Property team, you will be responsible for handling general material damage losses and assisting with complex building-related issues. Claims can range from £20,000 to over £1 million in value, with an average claim of £250,000. This role will be based remotely, with occasional travel required.

You will work closely with one of our experienced adjusters to progress and settle insurance claims efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting initial site visits and assessing damage to a high professional standard
  • Establishing and agreeing defect diagnoses
  • Ensuring all Planning, Building Regulations, Party Wall, and CDM issues are addressed
  • Coordinating testing (ACMs) and report preparation
  • Resolving complaints and ensuring compliance with performance and process requirements
  • Producing appraisal reports with budget costings and recommendations

We are seeking an experienced Surveyor with Chartered MRICS qualification and a strong technical background. You should have a customer-focused approach, with excellent communication and report-writing skills. Additionally, you should be able to:

  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Respond to daily workloads and meet KPIs and SLAs
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations
  • Demonstrate technical competence and knowledge of up-to-date Health & Safety legislation
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel when necessary
