Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering or facilities management setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of intricate building services along with practical skills.
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or structured training program.
  • Experience with Planned Maintenance Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems.
  • Proven track record in a performance-driven environment.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience within the healthcare sector.

Technical Skills and Competencies

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong technical understanding of the built environment, including services, machinery, and equipment, particularly in relation to hospital systems.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical building services.

Knowledge Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Ability to diagnose faults using technical schematics, manuals, and specialized database systems.
  • Familiarity with permit-to-work systems in accordance with Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs).
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) with the capability to analyze and adjust settings.

  • Experience in an NHS engineering context.
