Job Title: VAT Accountant
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team as a VAT Accountant. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of our European entities with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit VAT Returns and Corporation Tax Returns for European entities.
- Review and analyze VAT % applied to new products and perform quarterly reviews of all products sold.
- Minimize VAT liabilities and compliance issues.
- Prepare and submit tax-related reporting for US Group Finance and Tax teams.
- Advise the local team on US Tax-related matters impacting local operations and accounting.
- Perform quarterly Local GAAP and US GAAP ETR calculation/FIN48 review.
- Be involved in tax reporting, advisory, and compliance work.
- Act as a point of contact for Corporation Tax and indirect tax questions.
- Stay up-to-date with key corporate tax and indirect tax legislation to ensure compliance.
- Assist with tax compliance of intercompany transactions.
- Perform ad-hoc income tax research and tax planning.
- Manage tax audits/queries from tax authorities.
Requirements:
You will be a qualified tax accountant or have significant experience in indirect tax across European jurisdictions. Corporate tax experience is a plus, or you may be willing to learn and develop your knowledge in this area.
What We Offer:
You will receive a competitive salary up to £85,000, plus full benefits.
