About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Specialist to join our team at MATT BURTON ASSOCIATES LTD. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create and maintain a robust culture of process safety and health and safety excellence across various segments of the business.
  • Lead Safety Initiatives: Accountable for all matters related to process safety, reporting directly to the Head of SHEAQ Northern Europe.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Effective management of major accident hazard identification and comprehensive risk assessment processes.
  • Investigate Incidents: Participate in incident investigations with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Audit and Inspect: Conduct on-site audits and inspections of process safety procedures and practices.
  • Investigate Accidents: Ensure a thorough investigation into any process safety accidents and serious near-miss incidents.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A degree-level qualification in process safety or a relevant field.
  • Experience: Experience and comprehensive understanding of the techniques for carrying out extensive risk assessments, identification of major accident hazards.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the Upper Tier COMAH facility is advantageous, but not compulsory.
  • Legislative Knowledge: An appreciation of COMAH legislation.
