Quality Inspection Engineer

Join a well-established engineering company as a Quality Inspection Engineer and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of components and assemblies through the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and run the Quality department, being the first point of contact for staff
  • Control the inspection of all parts received from suppliers and all parts produced internally
  • Use a variety of manual and computer-aided inspection equipment, such as verniers, micrometres, and CMM machines
  • Investigate, report, and correct non-conformance issues
  • Compile detailed inspection reports for new products, new suppliers, or parts that have been manufactured, modified, or repaired
  • Work closely with the R&D department regarding new product development
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers as necessary

Requirements:

  • Previous Quality Inspection and Engineering experience within manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with inspection, as well as reporting and paperwork
  • Good communication skills to liaise with various departments within the business
  • Competency working with computers
  • A consistent employment history with references available
