Job Overview:

Digital Waffle Recruitment is seeking a skilled Structured Cabling Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Central London. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, testing, and termination of copper networks such as Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7, and Fibre Optics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, testing, and termination of copper networks (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7) and Fiber Optics.
  • Perform both first and second fix proficiencies, including installation and commissioning.
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation and testing.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.

Requirements:

  • Valid ECS or CSCS card.
  • Preferable IPAF Licence.
  • Skills and Experience:
    • Proven experience in structured cabling installation, testing, and termination.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Tools Required:
    • Cable strippers
    • Crimping tools
    • Punch-down tools
    • Cable testers
    • Cable management tools (ties, clips, etc.)
    • Step Ladders (Preferable)
