Position Summary

Ayesa is in search of a skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our Water and Wastewater division, concentrating on project execution in various regions. This position will provide essential civil engineering knowledge to support the delivery of current and future water services projects. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in improving our service offerings to contractors and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within our multi-disciplinary design team to provide effective design solutions to clients.
  • Engage effectively with other engineering disciplines, including process, mechanical, electrical, and structural.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and senior personnel, managing demanding workloads efficiently.
  • Encourage teamwork and strong interpersonal skills while adhering to Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Oversee projects in alignment with Ayesa's Integrated Management System (IMS).

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a preference for a master's degree.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience in the design of water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Progressing towards Chartered status.
  • Prior experience with a general contractor or technology provider is advantageous.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Demonstrated practical experience in delivering detailed civil design components for water industry projects, with a solid understanding of industry standards.
  • Experience collaborating with contractors in project delivery, leading to successful engineering solutions.
  • Previous involvement in creating water infrastructure design packages, including specifications and drawings, as well as temporary works designs.
  • Participation in project design teams for water/wastewater treatment facility studies, design, and construction services.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing preliminary designs, reports, and detailed design drawings and specifications.
  • Able to work with and mentor technicians, attend meetings with design teams, contractors, and clients, and collaborate with architects and other disciplines.
  • Expertise in all aspects of civil engineering related to water and wastewater infrastructure design, including pumping stations, reservoirs, pipelines, and treatment facilities.
  • Desirable experience in hydraulic modeling and/or surge analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
