Position: SEND Class Educator

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated educator to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves working within specialized provisions catering to students aged 2-19 who present a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including profound and multiple learning difficulties, speech and language challenges, moderate additional learning difficulties, and autism spectrum conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a child-centered and purposeful learning atmosphere that stimulates, motivates, and maximizes pupil potential within a secure educational setting.
  • Work collaboratively with children across various age groups who have diverse and complex additional needs, including medical requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with students to enhance their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth, serving as a primary reference for any concerns related to their well-being and development.
  • Manage pupil behavior effectively and provide support during learning activities, acting as a positive role model.
  • Encourage teamwork, share best practices, and support fellow educators.
  • Assist students with additional medical needs, including tasks such as administering medication and enteral feeding.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience in primary or secondary educational settings.
  • Proven experience working with SEND students with varying needs.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding best practices.
  • Effective classroom management skills.
  • Ability to promote positive behavior among students.
