A pivotal role in shaping the future of St Paul's Carnival
St Paul's Carnival is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chair to lead the Board in setting the strategic direction and long-term goals of the organization. As a key leadership role, the Chair will provide governance oversight, advocacy, and strategic guidance to advance the organization's mission, vision, and values.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing artists and cultural institutions in the current climate, as well as a proven track record of effective leadership and collaboration. The Chair will work closely with fellow Board members, staff, and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic initiatives that promote and celebrate African Caribbean culture and traditions.
The role will include:
- Leading the Board in setting the strategic direction and long-term goals of the organization
- Fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and excellence throughout the organization
- Collaborating with fellow Board members, staff, and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic initiatives
We are seeking candidates who understand the current climate in the cultural sector and can bring a passion for the arts, a deep understanding of governance principles, and a proven track record of effective leadership and collaboration.
Candidates will ideally bring;
- Proven leadership experience in the arts, non-profit, or related fields
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consensus-building skills
- Strategic vision and ability to think creatively and analytically
