Design Engineer

Omega Resource Group is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Witney, Oxfordshire, UK. As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of cryogenic equipment for scientific research and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop fit-for-purpose components, sub-systems, and assemblies of cryogen systems
  • Provide mechanical design input to develop new systems and mechanisms or improve existing ones
  • Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM & DFA) to ensure efficient production
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support the introduction of new products

Requirements:

  • Competent user of 3D CAD software, preferably ProE CREO and Windchill PDM
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques, as well as Materials Resource Planning (MRP) and Engineering Change Request processes
