About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist with expertise in Haematology to join our multidisciplinary team at Hca Cancer Network's Harborne Hospital in Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of a new service, where you'll provide comprehensive, high-quality care to patients with cancer and haematological conditions, guiding them through every stage of their diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver expert, compassionate nursing care to patients with haematological cancers, ensuring their clinical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  2. Collaborate closely with consultants, physicians, and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure seamless care and treatment planning.
  3. Offer emotional and educational support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  4. Develop and lead patient care initiatives to improve the quality and continuity of service, contributing to the development of this new Haematology service.
  5. Ensure best practice and evidence-based care are consistently delivered.
  6. Participate in research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives to further the service's development.
Requirements
  1. Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
  2. Proven experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Haematology, ideally with cancer care experience.
  3. Excellent communication skills and ability to support patients through complex care pathways.
