Concrete Plant Operations Supervisor

We are looking for a skilled Concrete Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee the operations of our Concrete Plants in the North Wales & Cheshire area.
Location
The primary location will be determined based on the nearest operational concrete plant to the selected candidate.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will manage the production of ready-mix concrete utilizing a computerized batching system while ensuring the safe and efficient daily operations of the plant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting daily inspections of all safety-critical equipment in accordance with company protocols.
- Operating loading shovels to replenish storage bins and manage aggregate deliveries.
- Communicating proactively about any potential hazards or near misses to the Health & Safety Department and Line Management.
- Ensuring production meets customer specifications and adheres to required technical standards.
- Managing inventory of constituent materials and coordinating reorders from suppliers as necessary.
- Performing daily checks as mandated by environmental permits.
- Supervising truck mixer, tipper, and cement tanker drivers on-site.
- Overseeing external contractors to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintaining high standards of site cleanliness and conducting preventative maintenance activities.
- Coaching and mentoring operational staff to drive improvements.
- Providing support to assistant production managers and district managers as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A solid mechanical and electrical understanding of machinery within the concrete plant, with the ability to identify and report faults.
- A flexible, proactive, and adaptable work style, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- The capability to negotiate and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- A strong motivation and experience in plant operations.
