Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Work Schedule:
Rotating Panama Shifts (Day and Night, 6am - 6pm, 6pm - 6am)

As we expand our Engineering team, we are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians who will play a crucial role in the advancement of one of our primary manufacturing sites.

This position entails monitoring production lines, diagnosing issues, and employing problem-solving techniques to enhance the efficiency of all company machinery and equipment. Your efforts will focus on minimizing downtime through scheduled, planned, or immediate maintenance, alongside continuous improvement initiatives.

Regularly evaluate company machinery and equipment for effectiveness and purpose, implementing enhancements to optimize output and address any non-compliance issues.


  • Contribute to reducing the company's environmental impact by optimizing resource use, including:

Examples include:
Energy Consumption, Waste Management, etc.

  • Collaborate closely with the production team to ensure timely plant operations.
  • Analyze production timelines and assess work hour requirements for task completion.
  • Prepare cost estimates, requisitions, and conduct equipment inspections.
  • Oversee minor projects and assist with larger initiatives.
  • Understand and uphold responsibilities related to food safety regulations, including HACCP, consistently.
  • Partner with Production and Quality teams to enhance operational practices, improving product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Coordinate activities with external Engineers, Contractors, and Vendors.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to all Engineering responsibilities, including covering for other Engineering roles as needed.
Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering Discipline.

  • Proven experience in the food or consumer products sector, demonstrating a strong track record of acquiring Engineering skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • A solid foundation in safe food handling practices.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Experience with MS Word, Lotus Notes, and Excel Spreadsheets).
  • Possess the enthusiasm and determination to accomplish tasks efficiently.
