Job Overview

Scantec Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineering Manager to lead the electrical aspects of major nuclear decommissioning projects. As a key member of our client's expanding team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality work, meeting budget and schedule targets, while providing technical and engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage technical teams on various electrical engineering projects, including new installations, upgrades, de-planting, temporary works, equipment relocation, and service diversions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of EC&I designs and related engineering work by managing supplier performance.
  • Oversee all project phases, including scoping, feasibility, requirements capture, design, construction support, commissioning, and handover.
  • Identify and manage technical and delivery risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Draft technical responses in tenders and bids.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 10 years in Electrical or EC&I engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical leadership in a regulated industry.
  • Proven experience leading teams of engineers and designers.
  • Expertise in managing and coordinating technical work by contractors or sub-contractors.
  • SC Clearance.
  • Proficiency in digital engineering tools (BIM, 3D CAD, etc).
  • APM Project Management Qualification (desirable).
  • Nuclear design and build experience (desirable).
  • Strong project/contract management skills, including reporting, cost control, scheduling, and quality management (desirable).
