This position will involve collaboration across various specializations including Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, and Information Technology, as we strive to deliver exceptional service to our clientele.

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Apprentice. In this capacity, you will receive comprehensive training while working alongside our first-line support technicians to address the IT needs of SOCOTEC.

Reporting to the Service Desk Team Lead within the Infrastructure Service Desk Team, you will engage closely with multiple IT departments.

  • Deliver technical assistance through our ticketing platform and via telephone communications.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving level 1 IT challenges, including issues related to workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, software, and other technology (not limited to these).
  • Help assess and prioritize the urgency of support tickets and facilitate their escalation when necessary.
  • Contribute to various tasks that promote effective IT operations within the organization.

  • Proficient in IT concepts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Proven ability to analyze problems and consider broader implications to devise effective solutions using various problem-solving strategies.

This position is designed for a Level 3 apprenticeship, ideal for individuals transitioning from school or college who are eager to embark on a career in IT and IT Infrastructure. The role will encompass a blend of on-the-job training and external educational opportunities.
