Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Logistics and Planning Specialist with a robust background in the automotive sector to join our esteemed client, a prominent manufacturer.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Logistics and Planning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating material logistics and planning activities to fulfill customer delivery expectations. Your responsibilities will encompass the efficient supply of resources, including raw materials, fasteners, and packaging consumables.

  • Receive and analyze customer schedules and spot orders.
  • Interpret material needs based on received schedules and orders.
  • Update internal production management systems (trackers/FLOW).
  • Generate production documentation, including Works Orders.
  • Oversee leased packaging to maintain optimal levels and accountability.
  • Collaborate with the Group Production Manager to communicate schedule adjustments and stock updates.
  • Issue Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASNs).
  • Manage the obsolete parts process to minimize liability and waste.
  • Input leased packaging usage through the Supplier Portal.
  • Maintain records of goods in and out activities.
  • Evaluate volume requirements against planning assumptions.
  • Propose and implement solutions to address production challenges and operational risks.

Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate for the Logistics and Planning Specialist role should possess:

  • A strong background in the automotive industry is essential.
  • Practical engineering experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of ISO9001, IATF16949, and ISO14001 standards.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • A systematic approach to problem-solving.

Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from £32,000 to £36,000 per annum.

Working Hours:
The standard working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7 am to 4 pm, and Friday from 7 am to 1 pm.
