Position Overview

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our electrical systems across various renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel Requirements: This position involves travel across multiple sites throughout the UK. When travel is not necessary, you will have the flexibility to work from home or one of Statkraft's office locations.
  • Maintenance Duties: Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems associated with our Wind, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Grid Services.
  • Training: Participate in HV SAP training and development to enhance your skills.
  • Fault Investigation: Investigate alarms and provide prompt fault response to ensure system reliability.
  • Project Support: Assist in the delivery of various projects, ensuring technical requirements are met.
  • Maintenance Execution: Follow up on the execution of planned and corrective maintenance tasks to uphold operational standards.
  • Onsite Supervision: Supervise engineering work onsite to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Technical Assessment: Assess the technical requirements for ongoing projects to facilitate smooth operations.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background: HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Industry Experience: Relevant experience within the energy sector is essential.
  • Electrical Network Expertise: Demonstrable experience working on electrical networks, particularly with LV and HV plant maintenance.
  • SAP Authorization: Previous SAP Authorization is advantageous.
  • O&M Knowledge: A solid understanding of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) processes is required.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: A high standard of HSE awareness is critical.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with power generation, HV networks, electrical testing/analysis, and commissioning is expected.
  • Software Proficiency: Competence in MS Office applications is necessary.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required.
